Death Rattle Orchestra, an American music collective and rock band performs mostly on the Milwaukee and Chicago circuit. Members include siblings Hupp and Katie Smith, Jonathan Cooper, Joshua Stemper, and Josh Rohrmayer and have included the likes of Mich Lovance and Clark Wegner. Death Rattle Orchestra married alcoholic bathroom rock sensibilities with home-schooled basement organ ballads. Lyrically, these art-rockers concentrate on dinosaurs, bats, and bondage. After years of collaboration front-man and malcontent Hupp Smith introduced the group's sounds as an accompaniment to his smash hit short film entitled "The Mistress and the Dictator". This short about the relations between Hitler and a mysterious South American glamazon has propelled the group into expanded obscurity. Subsequently, front woman Katie Smith gained the group underground notoriety for her innovative hairstyles and solo album entitled "Infancy and the Sweetheart Despair".
